Finally at long last it’s out! POSER’s debut album is finally available to add to my “blaster after party” mega mix! This EP is truly some of the finest and most innovative work we’ve come across and will without a doubt leave a lasting impression on the dance culture and movement throughout Ireland.
Upbeat, energetic house music is certainly not a genre that is lacking of material but POSER proves to produce only the most standout and inspiring tracks! POSER may be new on the scene, but he is quickly building a name for himself in the genre.

I feel this EP is a reflection of my love for hip hop shown through dance music. I didn’t set out to make a project like this, it just naturally happened throughout the years of making music as I was always making remixes of my favourite songs. I didn’t really grow up playing instruments, so sampling became a main focal point of my music. Electronic music and hip hop are the two genres that were built from sampling so there is a lot of crossover between the two and I love being able to do both. I’m equally inspired by J Dilla or Little Simz as I am by Daft Punk or The Avalanches.
I think ‘Loyal’ is my favourite song from ‘For Those Before’. It was made about two years ago during Covid and it was the first song that helped me form the idea of making a full EP using my favourite samples in hip hop. The sample at the end speaking of ‘seeing something new to Ireland’ feels like my way of putting my foot in the door of the Irish music scene and showing what I’ve got.
